Building-Vu Research & Development

We're pursuing two avenues of investigation for integration into our Products and Services.

We're in the process of developing and validating of a new method for measuring and understanding the heat flux that occurs via building materials.

The result of our work will allow a user of thermal imagery to directly assess the $$$ saved when implementing upgrades to both building materials and insulation integrity.

The Building-Vu algorithm is based on the surveyed observations of:

• Surface Area and Building Layout
• Building Materials / Insulation (Revalue) / Colors (Albedo)
• Ambient Outside Air Temperature
• Inside Air Temperature
• Temperature of Heat Exchange Surface
• Insulation

Applied day/night and over one year Leads to Energy Used = ƒ(Parameters, BTU cost) = $$$

We're also exploring new data mapping and visualization techniques so that the our surveys can be easily interfaced to other Building Information Management (BIM) tools and applications.
